Grandmaster Seong Weon Yun
A Legacy of Academic Excellence and Martial Artistry
Grandmaster Seong Weon Yun is a distinguished 7th Dan Black Belt who holds the unparalleled honour of being the only instructor in Australia with a Ph.D. in Taekwondo, offering a rare and powerful synthesis of scholarly depth and decades of elite practical experience. As a world-recognized International Referee and WT Technical Educator, he brings a global perspective to our Gold Coast community, building upon his prestigious tenure as head instructor at RMIT University and the Victorian Tae Kwon Do Academy in Melbourne. Moving beyond the scope of a traditional sports club, Grandmaster Yun personally mentors every student with a steadfast commitment to the “Taekwondo Spirit”—instilling the core values of Honour, Respect, and Discipline to nurture principled leaders of tomorrow. Whether guiding students toward holistic well-being or providing high-level technical training for those aspiring to the National, International, or Olympic stage, his scientifically grounded and character-driven approach ensures that every practitioner reaches their highest potential with precision and excellence.
